Frequently Asked Questions

If your order arrives damaged or you’re unhappy, email me within 7 days of delivery. All shipments are insured. For damage, please send photos of the piece and the packaging; I’ll file a claim and refund the piece + shipping or remake it if you prefer.
Please remember: every piece is handmade and will have natural variations. Made-to-order items cannot be refunded once made. Refunds/exchanges for reasons other than shipping damage are at my discretion. Return shipping is the customer’s responsibility.

I pack with recycled or recyclable materials to keep pieces safe: green wrap (paper bubble wrap), compostable peanuts, cardboard dividers, and often double-boxing. I may reuse clean bubble wrap. All shipments are insured against breakage and loss before they leave my studio.

Primarily USPS Priority Mail and UPS—usually the most affordable. I’ll use your preferred carrier when possible unless there’s a significant price difference. Tracking and insurance are included, and your tracking number is emailed when the label is created.

Automatic calculators can overestimate for multi-item orders. If that happens, I refund the difference when I pack and ship. If you’d like a quote first, email me before ordering.

Often, yes—email me and I’ll check options and pricing.

Yes—orders canceled after packing incur a $15 restocking fee. (Made-to-order items cannot be refunded once started.)
-
Once a package leaves my studio, the carrier is responsible. That said, I’ll help you pursue a resolution and file insurance claims when applicable.

Currently I ship to Canada only due to global shipping issues. Choose international shipping at checkout. I’ll calculate the actual shipping cost when I pack, then email a separate invoice. Please pay promptly—unpaid shipping invoices will result in order cancellation without a refund. Import duties/fees are the buyer’s responsibility.
-
They’ll ship together when everything is ready. I’ll email you when they’re on the way. I’m a one-woman studio—thanks for your patience!

Yes—free local pickup in Portland. Select Local Pickup at checkout. When your order is ready, I’ll email you my phone number and the studio address to schedule a pickup. Your order will be on the porch at the arranged time. Please pick up promptly, or email me if you’ll need more than a week.

Not at this time. I’m also not joining online marketplaces. Sales-pitch emails will be ignored.

Sometimes! Email your idea to tamarabryanpottery@comcast.net. Customs must use my current color palette and style—I can’t create new glazes or copy another artist’s work. I can often recreate a past piece or design something new that fits my line.
